hi, I know that system, they are usually used to make a camera slider, but they can also work for the fence. I look forward to seeing pics with your progress!
I now estimate 700EU of purchases still to do. My monthly budget towards this project will be just about 70EU, plus whatever additional I can gather.
Photos of my actual build will thus only be early next year. Sorry!

By the way, here in SA the extrusions etc is extensively promoted for building your own 3D printers / mortises, routers etc. Later when embarking in building your 3D Router I might relook in using same components
Still concerning the tops. Using the planned alumiium extrution, I will be forced to change the plan to allow for overhang of the tops both ends. I have decided to stick to the length of 815mm, thus I will have to resize the rest of the length parts for the body of the workshop as appropriate.
I plan to border the tops with a 10mm strip of hardwood.
And I plan to allow for the top for the saw to tilt open towards the back to allow easy access to the saw.
And I am still going to cover the tops with acrylic.
The miter channels will be cut after allowing for all of the above
More I cannot plan to change concerning the tops. Lol
I have a question based on the following (downloaded from one of the showcases) i.e.
Difficult to explain.
I need to know the distance measured from the the top of the closed workshop to the "side top" of the closed router top. i.e the top is 18, +18 for the fence guide, then the gap , then the "side top" of the router top.
