How to add a lift system to any plunge base so you can use it inverted on a DIY router table. You’ll only need a threaded rod and an insert. Keep in mind that if your router is new, you'll likely void your warranty by doing this modification. In my case, the warranty expired long ago.

How to add a lifting system to the plunge base of almost any router. I've used a threaded rod to which I soldered a countersink bolt. With a piece of HPL, I made a piece of the same contour as the cover of the spring, to which I glued the threaded insert. This allows me to lift and lower the router from the worktop of my router table.
