Sebastiano's Portable Workshop
Hi there. I like to share some pictures of my work in progress based on these amazing plans you can buy for a reasonable price just right here: http://paoson.com/en/shop/49-portable-workshop.html
I like to be in my workshop and build stuff... For me it's like meditation. So please consider that before judging my strictly recreational work. of course I'm open to constructive suggestions.
Gathering materials
Building useful tools
First step done ,o)
Bought a used, but powerful Circular saw...
...and had to get rid of some components.
The old Blade wasn't cutting very well.
I messed up the end of the channel :o( I used other parts to support the router on the other pieces.
Tadaaa. Looking good so far... except the blade .o)
A provisional solution for the router until it's part of the portable workshop.
Now it fits nice and snug.
I like oval knobs ,o)
The electrification with some help of my dad who knows stuff about this electrical.... stuff ,o) I didn't connected the coil so the power switch didn't stayed in ON position. After a powerless this safety switch will disconnect itself.
I copied the dividing thingy and the blade from my bosch circular handsaw and scaled it with a graphic program so it fits the bigger blade.
Also made some last minute changes in length right before I started the cutting.
A pretty good use of the old blade.
New Blade and old blade as a separator/ guide.
Just finished... more is coming when there is time ,o)

Thank you, had very good plans!
Here some progress ,o)
here I used neodym magnets with a hole and washers in the same diameter to hold the maintenance lid closed.
I used two component epoxy glue to hold the washers in place
must remember to buy some more longer saw blades like this one
and again I had use of some piece of the old circular saw blade. I hope that will make things more durable.
Testfitting. Have to narrow the top arm (like in the plans)
did some test sawing. worked pretty well.

Hi Suso and Sebastian,
I have been following the blog and the forum for a while, but this is my first post, so I need to say it: Suso big congrats for your work, honestly.
And Sebastian! congratulations for your work in progress. Looks very neat.
I also bought the plans and I am collecting now the parts to make a PW. After looking at the pictures, I would like to make a question to booth of you about the Incra material. On the first image of this thread I can see two 32" miter channel and four 18" sliders. But, isn't supposed to be just two of each or am I wrong? Maybe I misunderstood the quantities, or are you, Sebastian, planning some modifications? May you explain a bit about it? I already bought 2+2 pieces... so I need to know if I am missing something.
Thank you two guys!

Hi Sebastian. First. I agree with you to work in the workshop is a kind of meditation, I can think the same !! congratulations on the progress of your work, looks very neat and professional. I take note of your idea to use an old blade to adapt a guide to the saw. I really like your work !! sorry, my english is very poor.
