hello Robert, now I think I understand you,

there is not too much tolerance, you must be very precise, but I have the same jig saw and I managed to make it work, try this:

1- Cut a blade of 55mm total length.
2- Make a M4 hole at a distance of 48mm

my blade is of 55mm, and it does not stop touching the bearing even in the low position, and does not protudes from the table in its highest position.

let me know if it works

Hi Suso

I still wonder how you get it to work unless it is possible to the adjust the stroke within the levels of the chuck and the tables surfaces ? I enclose a drawing showing the working positions with the measures you proposed which collide with the chuck and my proposal which penetrate the table.

hello again Robert,

you have drawn it perfect, and you can see that my blade and of course my chuck does not exceed the level of the table. Note that the table has a through hole, through which the blade can move. Could you upload a real photo with the jig saw attached to the table?

here in the video you can see how it works:

Hi again Suso

Now I see you have dismounted the saw blade guide (as I erroneous have named chuck) from the jig saw and then it is obvious it will work as the line for the blade is clear.
I take it that it is OK to use the jig saw without its guide if your jig saw guide application is used ;)
Problem solved - Thank you
Robert
