Any experience Building this on a CNC

Post by Geeves » Mon May 23, 2016 6:06 am

I'm very interested in putting one of these together, it's by far the best option for me to actually get to the next level of woodworking as I don't have space for a permanent table saw but being able to wheel this out and pack it up afterwards would make it ideal.

There is no chance I could make this with my current skill level and equipment, but I can get to a Fab Lab with a ShopBot and get everything cut out accurately. Has anyone else done this on a CNC yet?
Any idea of how long it would take? (how long is a piece of string, I know)
How many (1220x2440 / 4'x8') sheets of plywood are required?
Does it lay out on full sheets or quarter sheets? (Obviously, the smaller ones are much easier to transport.)

Hi Geeves,
the plans include the DXF files so you can use them in a CNC. They also include the cutting list and the max cute file and images so you can get the perfect distribution of the parts in the sheets of 2440x1220 but you can modify it to use the sheet size you want.
