Building the Workshop in Parts

Post by Ebi-Wan » Fri Mar 06, 2020 12:06 pm

Hi,

I bought the plans yesterday. Now thinking about the workflow.

I am thinking about building the workshop in parts: First the mid part with the circular saw, so that I can use this saw table to cut the rest of the wood. I just have a portable saw with a simple slider, so it is difficult for me to cut exact lengths and exact right angles...

Has somebody made it this way and has some hints for me how to do it?

Thanks!
E.

hello Ebi,
you have two options,

1- Look for a carpentry shop that not only sells the materials, but also cuts and marks all the pieces required for its construction. This will be easy if you show them the cut list included in the plans, plus they don't usually charge much per cut. To avoid any nasty surprises, get a quote first.
I also order precut materials in some of my larger projects.

2- Do it as you say, make the central lid where the circular saw fits, support it between two tables and then use it to cut the rest of the parts.
