Plywood or MDF

Post by Sahar » Sun May 31, 2020 10:48 am

Hi,
According to the plans the workshop is built from 18mm plywood, I would like to know if MDF will be the right material for the job?
or should I stick to plywood for this kind of project?

Thanks

I don't know, I've had bad experiences with MDF... but it may be because it was cheap, and it was 15 years ago. I'd still go with plywood, but I'd be curious to hear some feedback from people who are working with MDF!

Hello, CTP is much better in this case, it is much stiffer than MDF. On the other hand, working with MDF produces extremely aggressive dust for the lungs and dulls cutting tools. If that can help you.
