8mm vs 9mm plywood

Post by Apkc » Sat Jun 25, 2016 7:17 pm

Can 8mm (or 10mm) plywood be used instead of 9mm?
I got no 9mm in my city - so if I can use 8mm or 10mm instead - this will save me a lot of transporting fees.

Hi,
yes you can. You better go with 10mm though.

hola José,
realmente tendrías que modificar muy poco, incluso nada. El diseño lleva muy pocas piezas de 9mm, y no son piezas demasiado importantes de la herramienta!

i've got a similar problem. No 9mm where I live. I can get 7 or 12mm. If I go with 12, will it cause problems with dimensions and construction. Also my sheets come in 1200 as opposed to 1250 widths. Any chance of getting maxcut png for that sized sheets. I'm on a mac and maxcut is pc only. Cheers, and thanks for great plans, videos and forum.

Hello Lars,

You will modify a little or nothing. The design have a few pieces of 9mm and this pieces aren't very important part of the machine. Use 12mm instead 7mm.
