T Track / Miter Track

Post by AquaCom » Tue Aug 16, 2016 9:37 am

Hi I have some questions around the miter track used.

Is is correct that in the surface of the portable workshop i use the Miter Track system and in the sleds that run across i use the T Track? Do they fit inside one another?

Are there any advantages to having on over the other in the main surface? Are there any limitations?

Would it be worth having both next to each other?

Thank you

Hi,
that is the right way to use it, but you could do it in more ways. In my videos you can see how it works, it has good slide and you can lock it. Take a look at this:

Portable Workshop
Portable Workshop2
Portable Workshop3
Portable Workshop4

You can also use this cheaper system:

TableSaw

Hi there

I am starting to calculate materials to buy and I just to be clear on quantities:

For the top: 2 x INCRA Miter Channel - Aluminium T-Slot Track Length 32 in. = 813 mm

For the Miter Gauge and Table saw sled 1+1 x INCRA Miter Slider - Adjustable Aluminium Runner 18 in. = 457 mm

Is this correct?
