Hi
I'm new to this site, so apologies if I cover a topic that's already covered.

I don't have a table saw and am looking to buy a good saw or to build one. But, before I buy the plan for the Portable Workshop, I really need to estimate the cost of building versus buying a good table saw.

The costs of material and tools in South Africa is quite expensive, especially when one take into account the exchange rate between e.g. the South African Rand and the Euro (e.g. today the exchange rate is R100 buys me approx.7 Euros

So, having said all that, can you please give me an estimate of how many sheets of wood you used for this build and also the thickness of the sheets so that I can get a feel of costs.

Thanks

hi Andre,
As you say, depends on the cost of materials in your country. In total you will need about 5m² of 18mm hard plywood. Take a look:
