hi everyone!
I have just one question, is it possible to buid the portable workshop with melamine panel 19mm water repellent.

Is it enough strong?
is it durable?

can you advice me?

hi Mathieu,
you can use that type of board if you are living in a dry place and you want to save money, but it will be more resistant if you use hard plywood.
You could also use water repellent Mdf board.

I have the same question. I live in a damp place (UK, my workshop is in the garage).

Do you think this will give sufficient stability and precision as a workspace surface?

Hi Suso! thank you for you answer! I live in guadeloupe in French carribean island. I will try with melamine wood. I found free panels.How much time did it take to you to build this workshop?

depends on the tools and practice that you have, I took about 30 hours!

Yes, I think it can work, however you should apply a good varnish to the entire surface!

If I use the "Structural Softwood Plywood CE2+ 18x1220x2440mm" from the user you mentioned:
Would this also need a good varnish to the entire surface?

In other words:
Which other options (apart from birch plywood) do I have, if I do NOT want to use varnish?

hi,
If you are going to use that board you will only need to varnish the lids to get a better sliding surface.
Anyway try to keep the table saw in a dry place...
