Hello,
thanks for the plan, you're awesome !
I do have a question, i can find ~2850rpm motor for half the price of a 1500rpm one, and much stronger (3hp vs 1hp / 120€ vs 250€)
Changing the pulleys size would allow me to keep the speed of the blade around 1000 meter/minute using a motor pulley of 50mm of diameter instead of 150.
Would you recommend doing it ?
Also I plan to buy pulleys already made to save the struggle of turning them.
thanks

Re: higher speed motor and pulleys
hi mate,
using a higher evolutions motor, and lower its revolutions with pulleys, is even better. What you should do is find out the size of the new pulleys, and check that the new pulleys fit in their location.

Thanks so much ! i used this : https://www.blocklayer.com/band-saw
to know the size of the pulleys from the plan, I can tell that the original one has ~1000meter/min blade speed, trying to match it with another motor!
Thanks again !
