Drawers finished! Now it's time to organize all the tools and fasteners that I have in mind to keep inside the workbench.

A short video where I'll show you how I built the drawers for my new modular workbench.
I've used 4mm thick beech veneered Mdf to glue on the fronts of the drawers, new system which I think is quite convenient and aesthetically pleasing for this slideless drawers!

Hi Suso, it's possible to build the Modular Workbench with OSB insted Plywood?
Thank you very much.

Hi quick question, I’m interested in building a bench but before I buy plans I’d like to know what thickness of ply you use for the main frames and cupboards, 18mm or thicker ?

Thanks and you redesigns looks really great.

yes, 18mm. I have also used 15 and 9mm soft plywood for the drawers.

Hi Suso,

great work you’ve done! And very good and detailed plans! I would never sit down and prepare everything in such a detail on the computer - much too lazy for that.

I’ve started to build the first of 2 of these modular workbenches last weekend.

I'm using 15mm plywood as it is available more common with reasonable prices here in my home area. Instead of glueing 3 stripes of plywood I put together 4 of them - a lot of glueing without any nails! So this took a while with a limited number of clamps...

I’ve planned to use plywood as well for the workbench top (3 sheets).

This weekend some sanding has to be done and the 2 drawer frames will be build, and as the front vice sitting on the side, screws, castors etc. have already arrived today I hope to finish the first workbench in the next 2 weeks.

I’ll report here!

Cheers

Sägebär
