DIY Router Table Dust Hood

Post by Suso » Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:49 pm

I've made a new video to show you how to make and use a router table dust hood. A few days ago I made some new zero clearance inserts for my bench table saw, and while I was using the router table with a flush trim bit, I realized I needed to make some kind of dust removal system when doing these kinds of milling jobs.

Hello,

In the cutting list folder there are two files the reference number and the cut list .

The diagrams in the reference has parts 5B , 5C but the cultist only has 5 and 5E ? Assume they are all 5?

Thanks

I've tried to summarize the 8-part series on my latest mobile workbench in a single video that's less than 1 minute long.

This is the result. The video showcases some of the workbench's main features. If you're interested in exploring all its possibilities in detail, you'll find the whole series on my Youtube channel.

Re: Mobile Workbench with Table Saw & Router Table - Using MDF instead of plywood

Post by evilvet » Fri Jul 08, 2022 3:47 am

Hi
Many thanks for your plans and the video series; I have watched the videos a number of times and will be doing the build over winter here in Oz.
I would be interested in your views on using 18mm MDF for the frame; I can get MDF for less than half the price of decent plywood here. I would use multiple coats of varnish to seal the whole thing and prevent any moisture issues.

Thanks in advance

In your video you mention using spacers during the glue up of the frame.

I cannot find a list of all the spacers needed/used and am hoping you have one so I don't have to go through the plans piece by piece.

Thank you for the awesome project.

hi Gilatrout,
Inside the plans you will find a PDF called "Spacers", where you will find that information. Follow this route on the plans:
