How I made the adjustable zero clearance of my new table saw sled. First I've used the router table to make the rebate required. After that I've made the holes for the threaded inserts. Then I've set up the router table to make the final cuts to use these zero clearance inserts. I've used the miter gauge and a stop so that all the rebates are the same. These are the two plywood sliders I made so that I can use my new table saw sled. I've designed them to be detachable so I can use the sled as part of the outfeed table. In order to set them up more quickly and accurately, I've used some pieces of a steel pipe and some round neodymium magnets of the same diameter as the pipe. I don't think the magnet is indispensable in order to use this system.

Interesting modification designed by Michael in which he has attached the outfeed table to the folding base. Perfect for use with saws where it is not possible to attach the outfeed table:

Hey Suso & community.
First of all I want to say I am quite impressed with your projects. I ended up here because I was researching buying a table saw.
I am looking forward to building your foldable table design, both to have it as a tool and to train myself into the technicalities of building it.

One thing I am having trouble finding, and I understand it is probably a difficult question to answer, but do you have any indication written anywhere of what the rough price of all the materials for a project might be? Momentarily this is the one thing holding me back, as I am unsure how much money I will have to invest, and whether I am able to afford this.

Thank you very much,
Daniel.

hi Daniel,

it is a difficult question, it depends on the country of residence and the materials you are going to use. Using inexpensive plywood such as poplar or pine plywood, could cost around $400. This cost does not include the clamping system.

I've edited together this video to show you how I managed to attach the folding outfeed table I made a few weeks ago to the back of my jobsite saw. This system allows me to attach and detach the table quickly and easily when I need it. Simple but effective!

How I cut the aluminum profile fence of the table saw sled I made a few weeks ago. I cut the center of the profile so that I can place the wooden insert. I've used a miter saw and a blade to cut aluminum. I've fished the cut with an oscillating multi-tool and a file. It's a quite versatile profile for this type of work!

How I manage to hold the table saw sled to the outfeed table frame I've made a few months ago. I've used two pieces of a steel rod. I also fastened two small bits of plywood with screws to the back of the sled.

These parts are inserted below the front piece of the outfeed table and help keep the sled in place. You will find more information about this Folding Workstation on my website.

In this video summary you can see some of the functions offered by the Table Saw Sled of my Folding Workstation. It allows me to hold and cut workpieces in various ways. Thanks to two magnets I can change the slider to use the Sled with a Dado blade. The fence is extendable to cut larger workpieces. What I like most is the possibility of always having the sled at hand, on top of the Folding Outfeed Table.
