In the photo of this post, what is the EASIEST method of getting the workpiece and the template lined up?
I've just tried to do a neck pocket on a piece of scrap, and didn't know the best way to align them so that its as accurate as I need it to be. Especially for a neck pocket! :P

Hi Al,

watch out this 3 videos, I think it's what you're looking for:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-RwzXqxwMs&list=PL-zsYqBu58Gp4fwXI1l2SZzmNY5SOVENq

The top of the table is 70x70cm so I used 2x10mm thickness MDF boards (70x35cm) and I placed booth the guitar and the template in the middle of these boards

Hey! Last Friday I bought the plans, I am very excited to build it but i have already a question:
Can you give a little bit more information about the "32 ball bearings (608)"?
Which diameter are these bearings? 8X22X7?

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Good-quality-deep-groove-ball-bearing_60345489872.html?spm=a2700.7724838.30.17.l6dYBb&s=p

EDIT: I found it already in the 'Fasteners list.pdf' file you send me after accepting my payment!
Thx a lot!

Thank you very much!
Bart

Yep, those are the ones. But if you can spend a bit more and get a better quality, do it.
Where to find bearings

You can also take a look to these post of fellows of the forum that are exploring different ways:

I am extremely inspired by this CNC machine and purchased the plans the upcoming week. it can extra be utilized for other woodwork function. I have attempted to make an outline which can be effortlessly worked, with rather basic and low price.

This is a fabulous machine and Kudos for the idea.

I am thinking of using this to do the tops for some Les paul style guitars to get the top body contours is the bed big enough or do I need to expand it a bit. I have a scrap LP body I was going to use as the template and do like you did in the video of the F hole. It would be so much easier than routering around a bunch of templates and then blending it. I am not worried about pick cavities or neck pocket etc. the the top contour

yea i missed that first time around amazing idea I am in the process of cutting all the pieces. the mm to inches is killing me but rounding the numbers is working out so far.
