Kind of Router
What kind of router did you use? I've been trying to find one. All I have is a full size router. I'm looking for one like the one you used in your video.

Is there a good U.S. equivalent that you are aware of? I can always buy a palm router here in the states, and just adjust the opening on the z axis clamp with an insert for a drill. Palm routers here have a larger diameter than the European counterparts that you have access to.

The 43mm neck is not as common in USA as in Europe, but I think you could find it. It is what you call "european neck". You could change the design and adapt a palm router easily but then you'd lose the possibility of using the drill.
Check out this links, I think you can find it in US and let me know about your choice.

I am planning to use a 1/4" collet trim router with a separate speed control. The diameter is 63mm thus will make the clamp for Z that size. For the Drill I am planning to experiment with router collet inserts for the small drill bits and reduced shank drill bits for those sizes over 1/4" shank. In theory it should work. I am not ready to work on Z axis, so it will be a week or so before I can test it. The only issues will be bit speed, that is, will the speed controller reduce it enough.
