Wondering if this router would do the job?

I think it could be ok at least to start. But I don't know if for some jobs it would have power enough. Take in mind that you'll have to do some modifications in the original design in order to adapt it.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm new to routing and assume you mean work on certain hard words or certain types of cuts.

The adaptation you mention would need to be in the clamp for the router?

Hello nocon
I just adapted this router to my machine. I works fine.
See my post Nello's build for some details. I made separate plates that attach to the existing Z plate .

Yes, you must modify the 43mm euroneck system

I'd love to see that, Nello. Do you have any pics?

I'll check it out thanks.

They're only $19.99 at the moment on sale. I've purchased one so I'll test it's power out before creating a router for it.

Hello ncon,
I sent photos of the adapters to Suso to post at Nello's Build with a description. He will post them in a day or so. You got a good buy at $19.99, I may go buy another one! I ran a 5/16" bit as the test. It did fine. Time will tell. Note I also bought a HF drill motor. Item 62288. It is a hammer drill with a 43 mm collar. It is 2500 rpm variable speed in drill mode. About 500 watts.
I also bought the HF Router Speed Control for the router. Keep me posted on what you do.
