Quick and Dirty Build

good evening to you,
yes, for whatever reason I worked a bit backwards, maybe. I built the X axis first with the bolt holes drilled, I then fit it with the bolts, washers and bearings, and then made a piece from scrap to try and get a close fit as possible, still had to adjust the bottom bolt holes with file a bit. I did use 608 bearings and right angle steel at 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/8. no trimming of the edges ; ) . Did just the reverse on the Y axis, built the thing with angle iron attached and sort of fit the top of the Y and marked the bottom based on a scribe mark, still had to file the bottom holes a little bit. also think for the US states maybe an electric die grinder might be the tool for mimicking a machine with a standard size collar that may fit drill motor as well.

I never tried one of those but I don't think it is adequate for this job. Also it does not have the 43mm neck either and the part where you want to connect it, I think is plastic or rubber, so it can be difficult to adapt.

But, as I said, I has never used one, so... maybe I am wrong
