20 mm plywood hard to come by

Post by Nieknaam » Mon Jun 05, 2017 11:01 am

Hi, I love your designs and the very clear way of thinking behind them. I downloaded the plans for the Router & Saw table, but there is one problem with them. Here in Europe Plywood-thicknesses jump from 18 mm to 22. 20 mm is nowhere to be found. Just making the tabletop a bit thinner (18 mm is the thickest melamine I found) is not a problem, but there are quite a lot of sizes that have to change with that. Is it possible/hard for you to adapt the design to 18 mm?

hi Niek,
you're right, depending on the country where you live it is easier to get certain plywood boards...
You can use the one of 18mm thickness perfectly, you will only have to modify a little some pieces.
For example the depths of the recesses for the circular saw, jig saw etc...you will need to discount that thickness difference.
Also some parts of the fence system.

Thanks, Suso, I'll try to alter the plans. If you want, I can send the altered version back to you?
