for the maintenance, only the mixture with carnauba will be necessary.
Depending on the use, once every 2 years. You can only apply a new coat on the most worn areas, the other areas where don't you step on, can last more years.
If the wood is in good condition, you can apply the oil without sanding.
Try not to wet the floor too much when you do cleaning.

Hi,

Would there be another source than Amazon to get such oils? I'm trying to avoid them due to their practices, so I'm looking for alternatives as much as possible.

Hi, Suso.
It`s a great article. I came in this forum from https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Oil-Based-Varnish/. I have a question... may be two. If this varnish is elastic... I will use it for a wooden rod for an musical instrument called berimbau. So the rod wich will be bend like a bow, so I wondering if this varnish wouldn`t crank.
And the second qwestion - Am I understand corectly that in the artical you gave us two varnishes, and the thin one is apply after dryng the thick one?

I`m from Bulgaria. So I'm loocking for this products here for now...

Regards
Lyubo.

hello Lyubo,

yes, this oil varnish is elastic and perfect for musical instruments.
Here you'll find how to use the varnish.
Send me some photo of your berimbau!

Nice job Lyubo, what are these? I'd say they're African musical instruments but I might be wrong.
