Re: Saw blade sharpening jig
I've just finished designing my new saw blade sharpening jig. This is the 3D model I've been working on over the last few days. I'm going to use an angle grinder with a grinding wheel, I hope it works!

I've started the saw blade sharpening jig. I've cut its base and the piece that will allow me rotate the angle grinder.

Re: Saw blade sharpening jig
With these plans, which is the largest saw blade which can be sharpened?
I have a number of timber saws with blades up to 427.5mm in diameter I wish to sharpen. It is my assumption that I can make the base larger, and increase the travel of the drawer slides. For example if the plans allow for 305mm blades, I should be able to increase the travel by 61 mm, (427-305)/2. Is this a correct assumption?

hello mate,
yes, if you make tha base larger and you install the guides of the necessary length you will not have problems.
